Interdex

Interdex is a wiki for documenting people, communities and events related to the local internet. Its ongoing goal is to keep a comprehensive record of notable local internet subjects from 2003 to the present. Interdex is an EMPTV project run by rmuser, beginning on September 8, 2005 as a subdirectory of 17chan. Editing was restricted to registered members, and registration was usually closed due to vandalism. It was moved to kb.internetdetectives.biz on January 31, 2006, and restarted at interdex.info on October 13 with a new skin and a new version of MediaWiki.

Interdex is the only local internet wiki that has obtained a degree of popularity; Intellectual Elite's wiki and Waste of Pixels' wiki were mostly unused, and now no longer exist. For this reason, many people with articles about themselves have complained and occasionally asked for their articles to be removed. This runs contrary to the ideal of freely-available knowledge, and Interdex usually does not comply with these requests.

Interdex has a lot of subtle references to inside jokes and events. Lots of people who edit it aren't aware of this and remove them.
